If you download and install the firmware update from Husqvarna’s site which they say is included in the 8.1 upgrade, the very last screen of the process, after doing all the main work, it will tell you to open a specific software port. Next, you need to exempt certain TCP/IP ports from the control of the Windows Firewall. Down the road, if any of the other parts of the software suite fail because they can’t communicate, come back here and add the *.exe to the exception list. As I recall, there are 4 of these apps and you need to do this for each of them. Navigate to c:4d embroider (assuming you have the default directory) and then select the first 4D***.exe you find on the list, and click done. Now, I don’t know which ones actually talk to the HASP, so what I suggest is: Click Add to create a new exception, and then click the «Browse» button to the lower right. You will need to add an exception for some of the 4D software applications. If you are using Windows Firewall, you need to add exceptions to the firewall: Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Click the «Exceptions» tab at the top. Verify that it is set to start automatically (right click on the item, choose properties, set «Startup Type» to automatic.Ģ.

I suggest the following actions:ġ) lauch services.msc (click Start -> Run -> and type services.msc in the box) and look down the list for HASPLM?.EXE (I don’t recall the full name). I have been struggling with this issue for my mother as well and have not come up with a final solution but I believe ours is one of damaged dongle or erroneous registry entries.

At all times, when the software is used, the hardware key and the HASP software must be running and the HASP license manager must be running as a service under services.msc In the case of the sewing/design software being at issue with this person, she is dealing with a HASP hardware dongle which is the license control mechanism of a software product which absolutely *MUST* be installed on the personal computer or they cannot use the software.

Once you've selected it, hit next and it should search and locate the proper driver and install it.The author is incorrect regarding all of the uses of the HASP software/drivers.

Naturally, the automatic process is what screwed this up in the first place so you wanna hit the other labelled "Browse my computer for driver software" and navigate to the folder where Zadig dropped the files (might be more helpful to move that folder to an easier place to navigate to, depends on preference). That'll open a box asking if you wanna let Windows search automatically or if you wanna go manual. Then go to the Driver tab and click "Update driver". You'll see a button labelled "Change settings", click it. Click on the Hardware tab and go into those Properties. Odds are it'll have the error/caution/sign thing. Open that up and go to Hardware and Sound and then Devices and Printers and scroll down til you see WUP-028. Now, open the start menu and type "Control Panel". Now instead of hitting install driver click on the little dropdown arrow next to it and select extract files and then go to Options and tick Advanced Mode and scroll all the way down to see where it dropped it. In the large box, you put in WUP-028 and in USB ID you only need the first two boxes. So here's what ya do:Įnter in the details manually. Not even when you tick the list all devices box. When you open Zadig you'll see it isn't listed.

After screwing around with Windows 10 after some update I suppose it decided it knew what was best and tried to install a bugged or broken driver when set to wii u mode. If you have the mayflash adapter with 4 ports and the wii u/pc switch on the back and haven't found a fix, I hope this helps a little.
